During a pivotal Nvidia GTX keynote, CEO Jensen Huang unveiled a significant advancement in personal computing: the DGX Spark and DGX Station. These desktop machines serve as groundbreaking personal AI supercomputers with the revolutionary Grace Blackwell platform as their foundation.

The introduction of this AI PC architecture represents a groundbreaking moment as it offers specialized solutions to manage neural network complexities. The desktop systems initially introduced as “Project DIGITS” in January have become operational tools that deliver advanced AI functionalities to developers and researchers working on their personal stations. Developers can now prototype, fine-tune, and execute large AI models locally which cuts down dependency on remote resources to speed up development.

The compact DGX Spark stands as a formidable machine using the GB10 Grace Blackwell Superchip which includes a Blackwell GPU and fifth-generation Tensor Cores. The system configuration enables AI tasks to be processed at a remarkable speed of 1,000 trillion operations per second.

The DGX Station stands as a top-tier machine designed for ultimate performance with its GB300 Grace Blackwell Ultra Desktop Superchip alongside 784GB of coherent memory and a ConnectX-8 SuperNIC that enables network speeds reaching 800Gb/s.

Nvidia created DGX as a prototype system that allows other manufacturers to build their own versions. By working together manufacturers can distribute these systems widely and offer multiple configuration options. DGX systems will be developed and sold by both Asus and Dell along with HP and Lenovo.

Customers can reserve DGX Spark units right now while the DGX Station is planned for release sometime later in 2025. BOXX, Lambda and Supermicro join as manufacturing partners for the DGX Station which will launch systems later this year to broaden the availability of these advanced machines.
